Udy is a DJ/producer from sunny Southsea, which is the bit near the sea in Portsmouth, UK. His music takes the form of a bass heavy club sound but can be influenced by techno, house, breaks, dubstep, pop and more. DJ wise Udy has a penchant for dance floor fillers but is also known for a love of techno and minimal sounds.

Releases have come across a multitude of formats for labels such as Mixtape Records, Prozak, Nitrous, Communicate, Dusted Breaks and many more including tracks for Udy’s own Kiss My Bass Recordings, a project devoted to bringing great dance music together from all over the world. Remix work has been completed and well received by the likes of Steve Allen & Ben Alonzi, Kry Wolf and Mr Vega to name a few with plenty more to come. His promotional tracks and remixes have featured on many music blogs including Noise Porn, Boule a Facettes, Stoney Roads, Phase02, Boom Boom Chik and Vogelspand.

As a DJ Udy has held many residencies in his hometown as well as playing as a guest in Bristol, Southampton, Brighton, Bognor and London. He has warmed up for and followed the likes of Foamo, Meat Katie, A1 Bassline, Eddy Temple-Morris, Leeroy Thornhill, Shit Disco, Steve from Soulwax and many more. His sets are always read from the situation drawing from house, breaks, electro, techno, dubstep and beyond. Bodies always move.

Udy co-runs Portsmouth based club night and digital label Kiss My Bass. A brand designed to let people party without concern for whether their music is “cool’ enough.
