February Update
Thought I’d bring all that care up to speed! The bulk of the year’s time so far has been spent remixing which has produced some bits I’m real excited about. They’ve been getting good feedback and I’m learning much as I take them on: good training for when I finally get round to making some new original tracks.
The most obvious bit is the JOKR ‘Snaggletooth’ remix for our own Kiss My Bass label which is out March 15th from all the big digital download stores. I have also completed a remix for Myagi’s ‘Pop and Lock’ label, a track called ‘Be Strong’ by Groovy Cuvy & Benjamin Leung which I’ve pretty much ripped to shreds and seems to be going down well. I’ve submitted a remix of Cut La Roc’s ‘Deathstar’ which features Fangs and is from his new album. There’s a few other people in the picture for that one so we’ll see how it pans out. Finally (for now) I’m working on a remix for Ben & Lex’s ‘Ape’ label, a remix of a track called ‘Bad Bwoys’ by Prosper & Old Skool Nemo vs Benjamin Vial (deep breath). I’ve only just started it but really happy with the way it’s going so it could be finished real soon!
So pretty exciting times, got a few more bits lined up with my main man Mr Vega and no doubt some remixes on future Kiss My Bass releases as well as that promised original EP. Now all I need is some more DJ gigs

Your vote and help needed!
Another day, another dollar etc
This time I’ve gone and entered myself into the Next Generation DJ contest online which allows DJs across all formats to compete through various rounds that include voting and judges decisions to win some uber prizes. These range from equipment to a gig at Miami WMC and tons of free PR plus articles in DJ mag. I would like this please, ahem.
All you have to do for now is cast your vote on my Grindmix and if you get the time use the share functions to share to your Facebook/Twitter etc and try to get others to do the same. I need at least 200 votes to qualify into the next round.

What’s gwarnin…
Sorry people, I realise I don’t update here very often and it’s very much a repository as opposed to a constant news feed. To stay updated why not follo me on Twitter? I’m at @udya.
As a brief summary though I’ve recently completed my Grindmix DJ mix which you can find on my Mixcloud Page. After the great reception my remix for J*O*K*R on Dusted Breaks received we’ve snapped up their next track for Kiss My Bass Recordings and I will be remixing that along with SDM and Ben & Lex and potential promo remixes from Fotza and Mr Vega. I’m also attempting to get some original material written along with a collaboration with Mungo Baobab and a remix for II Tone. There’s some very exciting remix projects coming up in 2010 so keep em peeled.
For now though I am most definitely taking DJ bookings for 2010 so if you like the mix and think it could spice up your party/event then please contact me direct to arrange a booking.
Peace!
Udy.
New remix for Mungo Baobab – Dud Bomb
Good ol Mungo bunged us a fat tune in the shape of Dud Bomb. A wicked bassline, dubstep style beats and that filthy Pete n Dud rant. I decided to house it reet up. Enjoy.
My remix from our first release

Moving tings forward
It’s been a slow process but Kiss My Bass recordings is one step closer to it’s first full release. This Thursday the second wind of PR for my ‘Real Hustle EP’ goes out with the intention of raising awareness of the KMB name as well as myself and the artists involved. The global nature of it and our first full release is really exciting, even more so as it’s roots in my hometown of Portsmouth are still clearly on show. Tracks and remixes from New York, Manchester and Portsmouth, backing in Aberdeen and PR support in Edinburgh and Shanghai! I’ll be sure to post all the official PR up here too, maybe I’ll make a page for it.
I’m looking at the first full release being out in about 6 weeks, just a couple of ends to tie up and we can get it through the distribution channels and into your digital record boxes!
